Square and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has made it very clear that Square will only support Bitcoin (BTC) in the foreseeable future. He also expressed his enthusiasm towards the Lightning Network, a second-layer scalability solution that enables instantaneous payments on Bitcoin. Dorsey invested $2.5 million in Lightning Labs in 2018, a startup developing an infrastructure to handle Lightning payments on the Bitcoin blockchain network.

Who uses the bitcoin ATMs popping up at delis across the U.S.?
About a year ago, Matthew Boehm was visiting Vancouver, Canada, when he forgot the pin for his debit card. Strapped for cash, Boehm stumbled upon a bitcoin ATM next door to his hotel and decided to cash out some of his bitcoin. Over the last few years, bitcoin ATMs like the one used by Boehm have begun cropping up around the globe. As of January, there were 4,274 bitcoin ATMs installed worldwide, according to Coin ATM Radar, a website that tracks bitcoin ATM installations. Such ATMs can be found in 75 countries, but more than half of them, 2,581, are installed in the U.S.

A recently conducted survey seems to show that 13% of Amazon's users would like to see the e-commerce giant sell cryptocurrencies through its platform, around the same amount interest in seeing Amazon-branded health-care coverage, public transportation, and medical marijuana. The survey, included in a report published by Investing.com, shows that those interested in seeing the company sell cryptos aren't nearly as many as those interested in seeing an Amazon-branded computer (73% of respondents), or local coupons and deals (52%). The report notes, however, respondents "anticipated Amazon would eventually provide [these] services."

Only 3 of the top 50 blockchain apps are running on Ethereum
Believe it or not, only three of the top 50 decentralized apps (dapps) are running on the Ethereum blockchain, according to data from DappRadar. Instead, developers seem to be largely relying on competing platforms like EOS and TRON. From the remaining 47 most active dapps, 26 are based on EOS and 21 on TRON. Interestingly, gambling dapps account for the majority of the activity on both networks.

Coinbase Noncustodial Wallet Adds BTC Support and Plans to Add More Assets
Coinbase has announced support for bitcoin core (BTC) in the company's noncustodial wallet. The wallet was originally originally dedicated to ethereum (ETH), ethereum classic (ETC), ERC721 and ERC20 tokens. The San Francisco based company plans to add more currencies to the wallet in the near future.
