Big Trading Wins by Avoiding Big Losses

Dear Reader,

Dan Denning here, Bill’s co-author on The Bonner-Denning Letter. My publisher recently made me aware of a man who could help you make a lot of money in 2020.

His name is Larry Benedict. He’s a former billion-dollar hedge fund manager. And there are several reasons why he should be on your radar…

When Larry was actively managing money, he didn’t have a single losing year from 1990 to 2010. And in 2008, when the stock market got cut in half – an extremely challenging year for most investors – his firm had its best year ever. They made over $95 million for employees and clients.

How does he do it?

First, Larry is a “mean reversion” trader. As you know, the market reverting to the mean – in terms of prices AND valuations – is a big pillar of our investment strategy in The Bonner-Denning Letter.

In a mean-reverting bear-market, an investor’s only goal is to not lose money. But Larry is a trader. He uses mean reversion to MAKE money.

For example, if the market goes up three days in a row, he might look to bet against it. If it goes down three days in a row, he might look to bet on an upside move.

It doesn’t matter which direction. Larry’s looking for the market to revert back to the mean and trade the move for a profit.

Second, Larry describes himself as a “risk manager” more than a trader. He gets in and out of trades fast – just a few hours for some, or a few days for others. In some positions, he’s in and out in less than a minute.

But for ALL of them, he’s disciplined about risk. If the trade moves against him at his preset stop-out point, he exits. He doesn’t let his emotions take hold in any trade.

It’s that kind of discipline that’s allowed Larry to make money for his clients over many years. And it’s the kind of discipline you’ll need to make money trading in 2020.

If we’re right, there will be plenty of mean reversion in financial markets. And if his track record is any guide, Larry can show you how to trade it for big, consistent profits, while ruthlessly managing your risk.

In an event on December 11 at 8 p.m. ET, Larry will put his pride and a whole lot more on the line. He’ll place a trade with the goal of generating $70,000 or more in a single day. Whatever the result, the money will go to a local charity, Boca Helping Hands.

P.S. Bill and I are not traders. Our main job in The Bonner-Denning Letter is to make sure you don’t put a comfortable retirement at risk in a stock market crash. But mean reversion, by definition, means sudden and violent price action (usually in more than one asset class). It IS tradable. We only recommend you trade with money you can afford to lose, however – and if you’re following a strategy that gives you an advantage over others.

Larry Benedict may give you exactly that advantage. After all, the key to his performance is spotting mean-reverting trends and then managing risk with discipline. To learn more about how he can help you in 2020, click here.
