ISSUE FEBRUARY 18, 2020 The US markets were closed yesterday for the holiday. The stock market gave and took a bit at the end of the trading week last week. Not much conviction among investors ahead of the three-day weekend. The mostly in-line economic data released didn't generate much buzz..  Investors did lean defensively, though, evidenced by the gains in the Treasury market and the leadership from the S&P 500 real estate (+1.1%) and utilities (+0.7%) sectors.
