With Sports Gone, What's Next?
The answer to that is simply: politics.

Now that we can't bet on sports for an unknown time period, there's another game getting hotter in town.

Political betting is not so much new, but it is now FAR more popular. While betting sites are seeing sports betting fall 80%, and with the lack of sports I'm surprised it's even that high, they are seeing political betting rise around 200%.

And it's not all elections and debates either. You can bet on how many times Donald Trump will tweet "Chinese Virus" in a two day period.

You can bet on the price of oil.

You can even bet on the price of Netflix stock (and, FYI, with everyone trapped in their home, that's probably a pretty nice stock to buy anyway).

This type of betting has been huge in Britain for some time, but even they believe that the American political system is better for gambling action.

So, what you think? Would you bet on Donald Trump winning this year? Reply and let me know.

Man, it's not a good time to be in the casino business. Even with the market rising, casino stocks fell sharply on Monday.

The worst hit was Eldorado, down a huge 24%.

The reason? The deal they had in place to take over Caesars for $8.5 billion needs the okay from regulators…and the coronavirus has them all concerned with other matters.

Other casino stocks were also down, but none were hit this hard…today.

The coronavirus closures have had a big impact on their revenue, which is being heavily felt in the market.

Hong Kong Cracks Down on Gambling Dens
An illegal gambling operation in Hong Kong was in full swing when authorities busted them.

How much is full swing? It comes to $1.8 million in six months.

They were operating arcade-type machines for betting, using points for cash. Twenty-nine people were arrested.

They believe the ring came from the Hunan Province in China. That's a hell of a lot of money for such a short time span.

Gambling Tips
- One mistake I see people make in blackjack is going all in when they should hold enough in reserve to split. Splitting increases your chances of winning, so it's best to keep enough money on the side to do so if a pair comes up.

- When it comes to horse racing, some people just have to play Trifecta bets. This is when a person picks all three horses to place in order. If you really want do this (and I would say you shouldn't), it will increase your winning chances by boxing the bet. This means that the horses just have to be in the top three, instead of the specific order you gave.

Gambling Entertainment
So, I was looking for more gambling movies to watch and came across some good ones.

- Hard Eight is a great film, with John C. Reilly, Gwyneth Paltrow and Samuel Jackson. It's a student-master type film set in the world of casino gambling. Definitely worth a watch.

- Another really good film is The Cooler. It stars William H. Macy as a man with luck so bad, tables go dry when he sits at them. Of course, he works for the casino. Good film, check it out.
