Good Morning The equity market went on another wild ride on Tuesday. Hopes and fears are being stoked to new levels by Washington politicians. While no stimulus deal is in sight all three sides have given positive indications to the market. If passed, the stimulus would unleash another round of consumer spending to boost the beleaguered economy. If not, well if not the market could be in for a big fall. On a technical note, the uptrend that began in March is still intact. The last week's volatility shaved about 2.75% off the broad market S&P 500 but failed to even touch the short-term moving average. So long as price action remains above the average investors can assume short-term traders are still bullish. Looking beyond the stimulus deal, there is reason to believe the market will keep rising with or without it. Earnings for the S&P 500 are much better than expected and the outlook for next year continues to brighten.
