First ... Happy New Year to you and your loved ones! For various reasons 2020 has been a notable year, but it's ending on a hopeful note, and I'm genuinely optimistic for 2021. But in this email I'm writing to you about something slightly out there ... not trading, not business ... but would you believe it ... Music! My good friend Simon Coulson is someone that many of you will have met at my events over many years. He's a top guy and an incredible talent ... Pretty much everything he does he excels at - it would be almost annoying except that he's such a down-to-earth fellow, you just can't help but like him! And while he's most well-known for his business acumen, he's also a seriously talented musician - and more extraordinarily (and again, almost annoyingly!) ... he's entirely self taught! So, this year during the lock-downs, Simon has put his musical talent to use by creating and recording an album of original music entitled 'Cuts and Bruises' ... And TODAY is its official worldwide launch. The album features Simon as the inspiration, the performer and co-writer, but it's also the work of 19 other unsigned songwriters Simon has worked with. There's definitely a Coldplay feel to the album, and I'm a huge fan of them, so I've thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing, especially the title track which is very catchy and now continuously whirring around in my head!
