➤ Venezuela used ghost ships to send illegal oil to China.
As reported by Bloomberg, Venezuelan oil exporters are getting creative in skirting U.S. sanctions. Shipments to China allegedly sailed on ships that “went dark” by turning off their satellite systems. Vessels also painted over their names and used identities of scrapped boats.

➤ Struggling oil refineries want your kitchen scraps.
As reported by The New York Times, U.S. refineries are increasing production of “renewable diesel” from restaurant grease and slaughterhouse waste.
