Hi Trader,
Years ago, when I was in the financial dumps, a day off was never a concept I considered.
I had bills to pay and creditors to keep at bay.
Exhausted? Suck it up. I had to make money.
Sick? Too bad. Get in front of the charts.
I was busting my hump 7 days a week to stay afloat, enduring constant stress and sleepless nights — even as I started scoring consistent wins and developing a more passive trading strategy.
My ultimate goal with trading shifted away from survival and toward time freedom.
Yet despite wanting my time back, I continued to work 8, 9, 10 hour days...
Because I was afraid.
Afraid it would all crumble if I took my foot off the gas.
Let me tell you: you can make all the money in the world… but when you come from a place of financial scarcity, it's tough to ditch that mindset.
You find yourself working way too hard when the whole point of starting was to create a better life for yourself.
Once I realized this, I began training myself to outgrow the scarcity mindset.
I had to teach myself that things would be OK if I stepped away from the hustle.
Nowadays, I no longer feel guilty playing a few holes in the middle of the week.
I can sit back and relax knowing I've created an income stream that pays me more than enough without much work.
So yeah, hustling and grinding are good at first. It accelerates your progress.
But there's no point to it if you aren't building something that lets you step back and enjoy a lifestyle of freedom.
