3 Steps To Finding Your Own Trading Niche

Hey Trader,

Yesterday we talked about the benefits of finding your trading niche.

In case you missed it, here are a few:

  • It allows you to narrow down your focus into the areas you know you can be most successful.
  • Developing a trading strategy becomes easier.
  • Knowing a market inside and out gives you peace of mind and confidence when executing trades.
  • It makes the process of scanning for opportunities faster.

Every successful trader utilizes a unique strategy that they have fine tuned over the years.

And in order to have a truly unique strategy, you need a niche.

So, how do you find your own niche?

There are 3 steps to look at:

The first thing you should do is to go back and look at your trades (if you already have a trading history).

Look for your biggest winners and see what niche they are in.

If there are multiple winning trades in a certain niche, you know you should focus on that area.

If you don't have a trading history already, check out the next step (which is often overlooked)...

Second, ask yourself this:

"Do I have work experience in a specific industry?"

If you have worked in pharmaceuticals for example, that gives you a powerful advantage.

You know which companies are the biggest players, how the process for approvals and patents work, and what products will have the biggest impact.

That's powerful information to have in your backpocket when trading!

So why not specialize in an area that you already know?

It also makes it more fun to trade in a market you're passionate about (just saying!).

Finally, the third and last step would be to focus on your strengths as a trader.

If you perform better on fundamental based trades, then you should probably specialize in blue chip stocks.

If your style works better in setups where price takes a big leap and you often manage to capture the meat of the move... you should probably go for the energy sector.

Now that we're talking about the energy sector…

I truly believe it is one of the most profitable markets out there. And in a couple days I'll share with you why I picked it as my niche.

But today you have the chance to attend a private masterclass where I share everything you need to know about niching down.

There are not many ways for traders to gain an advantage nowadays...

Having a niche is one.
