On the slim chance you missed it, the QQQs have been on an absolute tear. We haven't seen this many up days in a row in years and this sprint is paying off big. After taking a bit of a beating the tech sector became a pretty nice buying opportunity. While you can't argue with a strong trend, you have to be ready for it to pullback at bit. Tech is a bit more vulnerable than most sectors to inflation and as the likelihood of things getting more expensive increases, we could see this rocket ship cool off a bit. Smart options trades allow you to get in on the climb with a calculated risk and also be in the position to profit when it reverses. With the QQQs well above their 10 day moving average on a daily chart, the snap back could be sharp. While this is bad news for the trend traders it could be a lucrative option position to be in. If you want to see a smart way to play this market, Wendy Kirkland shared a video early that laid out a great strategy. If you missed it, you can still access it here © 2020 Tradewins Publishing.
