What is stagflation… and is it happening?

Hi Trader,

Inflation, low job numbers, lines at the gas pump… at this point, you probably heard people compare current events to the stagflation of the 1970s.

But what exactly do people mean by "stagflation?"

Simple: it happens when prices increase rapidly (inflation) while economic growth slows (stagnation).

Hence, the name "stagflation."

Stagflation only happens under certain conditions, though. The 1970s was the first and last time (so far) that we've seen it for sure.

But when it happens, jobs are hard to come by (let alone jobs that pay a decent living), yet your gas and groceries seem to get more expensive by the day...

So are we seeing it again?

Well, I just shot a video breaking down stagflation, why it happens, and my opinion on if it's happening right now.

But don't worry — I've also got your solution for beating stagflation. It's simpler than you think, too.
