The "Sport" for cryptocurrency?

No one called that...
I spent the better part of yesterday evening on the phone with "The Great Doctor"...

(That's Dr. Moors, by the way.)

Much of the conversation revolved around the ongoing volatility and the "compression," as he likes to call it, that you and I can expect in the market.

Frankly, we're already seeing it...

But just as the positions in your portfolio zig zag on an upward trend, so will the market.

However, there's still upside ahead... It's just a matter of walking away from the panic switch.

It's not our first time seeing this...

But Dr. Moors has a new Spy Tale about his first rodeo as an intelligence officer in one of the touchiest places to be during the Cold War.

You may not have known about it...

Read it below.

All trading styles and strategies depend a lot on the person clicking the "Buy" and "Sell" buttons. So how do you figure out your own?

Options Coach Chris Hood and Brian Jones walk you through exactly how to nail down your own system.

WORD ON THE STREET
Market Worries, NASCOIN, Cramer Says No

  • The Delta Problem - After yet another record-breaking day for the S&P 500, investor concerns became elevated as futures turned red Wednesday evening. With OPEC+'s standoff and unemployment benefits set to end in September, the attention placed on the Delta variant of the coronavirus has added to the worries of market participants who think the road to recovery might be short-lived. According to CNN, close to half of the U.S. has seen an uptick in cases by 10% or more although some experts are confident more vaccinations will help curb the spread of the virus. And then other experts say it won't. Great.

  • "If ya ain't first, you're last" - NASCAR fans are mixing more and more with the digital asset world with the likes of BabyDoge's (BABYDOGE) cartoon Shiba Inu sprawled across driver Brandon Brown's car and Voyager Digital (OTC: VYGVF) sponsoring Landon Cassill. But Cassill is taking it a step further. The number four car will be welcoming logos from Trade the Chain, a metrics-based platform for crypto trading, as its latest sponsor. Similar to his deal with Voyager Digital, payment from the new sponsorship will come in the form of cryptocurrency. Crypto is still down:
  • Cramer's Goose Egg - Although it's gained more than 500% over the last five trading sessions and has doubled its market cap, Newegg Commerce (NEGG) stock is ready to crack according to Jim Cramer. The former hedge fund manager and host of CNBC's Mad Money told viewers on Wednesday evening that the current run spurred by WallStreetBets was unsustainable and tweeted in disbelief, "Newegg—are you kidding me? here we go again…" Cramer went on to state that if the company expects to hold its current share price that it would have to "boost its revenue guidance pronto." Jim, no one expects the share price to hold.

  • Trump's New Suit - Believe it or not (believe it), former President Donald Trump has filed class-action lawsuits against three of Big Tech's CEOs. Although the filing includes Google CEO Sundar Pichai, the main battle exists between Trump and both Facebook's (FB) Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter's (TWTR) Jack Dorsey as Trump is seeking to reactivate his accounts on both platforms as well as punitive damages. Being a class-action suit, Trump will be the main representative for others who believe they have a rightful claim. That's one way to represent the people.

HOT SPOTS: What's Going on in Geopolitics

  • Haitian President Assassinated - Chaos threatens the island republic after the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse. The president's wife was also wounded in an attack by gunmen who claimed to be American DEA agents. The police and military claim to be in control of the country. The United States is reportedly considering sending troops to prevent the country from descending into civil war.

  • Explosion In Dubai - A container ship in Dubai caught fire and exploded late Wednesday. The United Arab Emirates' commercial hub was reportedly under control by Thursday morning. However, videos on social media showed a huge fireball soaring into the night sky along with sounds of screams and sirens.

  • Plane Crash In Russia With No Survivors - 28 people have died after a plane crash in Russia's Far East. An Antonov An-26 twin-engine aircraft reportedly smashed into a cliff due to poor visibility. Russia aviation is plagued by a poor safety record, with this plane model dating from the Soviet era.
CUTTING EDGE: What's Happening In Tech

  • Blood Shortage Halts Surgeries - Procedures in some areas of the United States have been delayed due to a blood shortage. In some hospitals, there is only a one-day supply left. Another legacy of the COVID-19 pandemic, hospitals are crippled by shutdowns of groups and institutions that normally can be relied on for blood donations.

  • Elon Musk To "Chomp Up" Space Junk - Well, not him personally. (I think). But the SpaceX head suggested that his company's Starship could fly "around space & chomp up debris with the moving fairing door." It's unclear whether this is just Musk musing on Twitter again, or whether the company actually has a plan to combat one of the biggest threats to the emerging outer space economy. Perhaps neither. Perhaps both.

  • Life On Saturnine Moon? - A large amount of methane consistent with that generated by microbes has been located on Saturn's moon Enceladus. The surface consists of ice, but scientists believe there is an ocean underneath. The space probe Cassini located the emissions, which either show extraterrestrial life (albeit simple) or a new kind of chemical reaction.
Well, it's not UFOs, but we'll take what we can get when it comes to alien life
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

"This was Mexico City, in spite of my bailiwick supposedly to be counterintelligence (CI) directed against all things Soviet. Yet this was hardly as 'square peg, round hole' as it might seem. With the exception of Havana, Mexico City throughout the Cold War was the high-intensity location for Soviet intelligence activity in the Western Hemisphere."

Even the longest career in counter-intelligence has to begin somewhere. In this edition of Spy Tales, Dr. Kent Moors recounts the very first operation of his "life in the shadows." The unlikely location - Mexico City, a battleground of the Great Game.

BEFORE THE BELL
PHX Minerals (PHX) broke out if its downtrend a few months ago, however, recent pressure from the OPEC+ talks has pushed the stock down...

But is it out?

The flat white line in combination with the white-dotted trendline shows the ascending triangle before the breakout.

However, the last week's downside in oil is pushing it closer to the area of the previous breakout near ~$3.35.

If this fails, I'd expect the stock to fall to the 50-day simple moving average (dark blue) in the gray bubble around ~$3.25. Below this, you're looking at the next two support areas shown by the horizontal white lines.

This is likely more short term, but I'd trade carefully...
