Out of Gas- Oil deal not enough to keep last weeks rally going

APRIL 14, 2020   What should have been good news concerning an uneasy truce in the Saudi vs Russia oil wars, wasn't enough to fuel a rally, yesterday. Bearish sentiment seems to have set in as investors anticipate, grim corporate earnings due out this week.   Stocks were down, the Dow sank 325 points, the Nasdaq fell 170 and the S&P fell 28,   These numbers come as a sharp rebuke to last weeks apparent rebound, which many bears are saying was " too much, too soon." The emerging expectation among investors seems to be that the unprecedented the damage caused by COVID related shutdowns will cause the market to retest it's March lows.   Even so, Fed Vice Chairman Richard Claridia said that the US economy remains fundamentally sound. Yet, with so many unknowns, mass unemployment, supply chain disruptions and real uncertainty about when this pandemic will resolve itself, many believe it might take years for the market to come back to it's pre-COVID heydays. The hug takes a lot longer than social convention would allow you feel his hands moving up the contours of your body, his breath is heavy. You're unsure if you should pull away. After it's over, even though it's all smiles between the two of you, you feel used and violated. You sense that this elderly man, lets call him Joe, will carry the sensations of your body into his own private fantasies.  Now is what Joe did sexual assault?   Well not according to the New York Times. In fact the allegations against Joe Biden are much worse than a hug. Tara Reade, a former Biden staffer, filed a criminal complaint against Biden last week, claiming that he "digitally penetrated," her, and that when she resisted his literal rape, he whined "c'mon man I heard you liked me."   In response to these allegations the New York Times claimed on Sunday that they'd "found no pattern of sexual misconduct by Biden, beyond hugs, kisses and touching that women previously said made them uncomfortable."   Social media was quick to point out the Times obvious double standard, we all remember Brent Kavanaugh?" The Times was unable to corraboate the allegation against Biden…But I don't quite recall the Times ever saying that about the Kavanaugh case. Oh, and there were 'no hugs kisses and touching' claims against Kavanaugh."   The Times has since edited its headline omitting the "hugs kisses and touching," part of the story, and now simply says that it found "no pattern of sexual misconduct by Biden." I guess if you're a Republican only God himself could clear you of sexual assault charges, but if you happen to be the Democratic nominee, a brief investigation by a handful of journalists will do the trick.   More Here   California's Governor Gavin Newsom praised Trumps hand in helping the Golden State beat back the coronavirus.    On Anderson Cooper 360, on Saturday night, Newsom acknowledged the differences between himself and the President, but went onto say "Every single direct request that he was capable of meeting he has met… I have to be complimentary, otherwise, I would be simply lying to you, misleading you."   The Governor has gone out of his way to praise Trump before. On The View, Joy Behar tried to bait Newsom into making disparaging remarks about the president. "Do you have to feed this guys ego to get respirators?" she asked.   "I'm just being forthright with the president. He returns calls, he reaches out he's been proactive," Newsom replied going on to directly credit Trump for sending the Navy Hospital ship the USNS Mercy and two thousand medical units to California. "That's been very, very helpful, and to the extent that we're going to need more, and I'll let you know in a few weeks if that relationship continues."   Well it has been a few weeks since Newsom made his comments on the View. Given what Newsom said on Anderson Cooper, it seems that relationship has indeed continued, and with inspiring results.   Thanks to Trumps help, and Newsoms efforts, the nations most populous state remains sixth when it comes to corona cases.   More Here     Awesome            Not so good   Its definitely not a bird, certainly not a plane, is it a zebra or a donkey or a… zonkey? The birth of a zonkey at an animal preserve in Kenya is spreading delight on social media.   The other day the Sheldick Wildlife Trust posted an image of the hybrid, an image which has since generated hundreds of comments and thousands of reactions.   According to the trust, a Zebra had wandered off the preserve where apparently "she hooked up" with a wayward donkey.  Members of the anti-poaching team were startled by the foals strange coloration,  "At first, we thought that it had just been wallowing in the mud bath, but then the truth dawned on us: Our wayward zebra had given birth to a zonkey!"    The little zonkey will live out the remainder of his days, healthy and safe on the preserve, although he won't be fathering any zonketes.   More Here   How was todays newsletter?
