What Are the Libs Up to Now?

Liberals aren't about balance; they only believe in dominance of their agenda.

Several prominent liberal groups are joining the push by some Democrats to expand the Supreme Court to eleven justices, a move designed to eliminate the Court's current 5-4 conservative majority. .

An open letter signed by several organizations backs a plan to expand the Court to eleven members.

The signatories include Take Back The Court, Demand Justice, the Progressive Change Institute, Demand Progress, the Sunrise Movement, the Hero Action Fund, Presente.org, Friends of the Earth, and 350.org.

According to Politico, this is the first time that liberal groups have openly supported the idea of packing the Court. Doing so would require simple legislation, not constitutional amendment.

The idea emerged during the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, when former South Bend, Indiana, mayor Pete Buttigieg embraced a plan to pack the Supreme Court, expanding the number of justices from nine to fourteen.

The Trump Agenda
Visiting the White House on Wednesday, Republican consultant Raynard Jackson scolded MSNBC host Joy Reid and CNN host Don Lemon for hurting black Americans with their liberal views.

Speaking at a race relations roundtable with President Trump alongside HUD Secretary Ben Carson and other black conservative leaders, Raynard Jackson said that Lemon and Reid have injected "more poison" into the black community than any drug dealer or KKK member.

"You got radical liberal journalists like Joy Reid from MSNBC, Don Lemon from CNN, Roland Martin, who are putting more poison into the black community than any drug dealer, who are killing more black folks that any white person with a sheet over their face," said Jackson.

"How are they doing it? Spreading these lies about the economy you have, Mr. President, before the virus, was a continuation of Obama. That's factually not true."

"I have a degree in accounting. I keep up with the economy," he continued. "They're lying. So, to all these folks on MSNBC, CNN, Roland Martin, what, are you afraid to have real black Republicans who know what the hell they're talking about? If you want to know the truth, if you want us to dissect the Obama economy, let's do it, and I think Mr. President, your record would win the debate. Thank you."

CNN anchor Jake Tapper expressed dismay on Twitter that the president allowed a black guest at the White House to rip into members of the media that way.
Market Intel

A stock market that shook off the coronavirus pandemic, economic devastation and sky-high equity valuations was reminded of all three on Thursday, as Wall Street took its biggest dive in three months.

The S&P 500 slumped 5.9% in its steepest one-session loss since March 16, following renewed fears of a coronavirus resurgence as U.S. states gradually reopen their economies after a nearly countrywide shutdown. Investors also reacted to dour economic forecasts from the U.S. Federal Reserve.

Equities have surged since late March, with the Nasdaq reaching record highs and the S&P 500 climbing over 40% from March lows as the number of coronavirus cases nationwide declined modestly.

The pace of growth in new cases has recently picked up again, although the increase may be partly due to more testing. The one-week moving average of daily new cases stands at 30,553. This measure fell to 27,753 on June 1, from a high of 44,000 on April 14.

Investors also bought stocks on expectations that, following trillions of dollars of economic stimulus, the government and Federal Reserve would step in again to protect the economy if necessary.

The rally has pushed over 90% of S&P 500 stocks to levels above their 50-day average prices.

Every infantry grunts dream…a lighter rucksack while something else humps your gear.

In its second attempt, the U.S. Army plans to award a contract this month for an unmanned ground vehicle designed to carry ammunition, water and other combat necessities in an effort to lighten the load grunts carry into battle.

The Army initially awarded a $162 M contract to General Dynamics Land Systems in November to produce the service's Small Multipurpose Equipment Transport (S-MET), solo to have a competitor protest lead to the cancellation of the contract late last year.

The Army tested prototypes from several vendors early last year by putting them into the hands of soldiers from the 10th Mountain Division and 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

During the evaluations, the robotic mule prototypes carried payloads of up to 1,000 pounds over 60 miles for three days at a time. They also generated one kilowatt of power when moving and three kilowatts when stationary, so soldiers could recharge batteries and other equipment.
All the best,
