Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is stirring up the community again after he retweeted a tweet from European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde. She responded in her tweet to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Lagarde noted three items the central bank requests for a strong EU future. They were a faster digital transition, climate protection, and completed banking and capital markets unions, backed by cutting-edge payment systems. All three are present in RippleNet and the XRP Ledger, using the XRP token, which the Ripple Foundation has pointed out for years.
