THANK YOU!!!! Meredith, Colombia LAST BUT NOT LEAST (a long one, but worth the read - this can happen to you) Hello Everyone, I just wanted to give a review of Marina's Trader Chick Training. For those of you who don't know if they want to try it or if you think you would like to try but aren't sure if it's worth your money, this is for you: I found Marina's website after searching for a "Women's" training class. I have done other classes and just felt they were too aggressive for me to start out. I have 5 years of regular training experience but was looking to get involved on a daily basis. I happened upon her site, joined the email list and was warmly welcomed with a very personal invitation. I received an email response that asked questions and I answered immediately. Right away Marina answered and I was pleasantly surprised. I started in January and completed the course quite quickly as I have lots of time. (This is probably not the norm and I think she recommends up to 3 mos.) Even though I have lots of trading knowledge, Marina's Trading Boot Camp was very educational for me. I debated whether I should start with it, but in the long run I am so glad I did. If you work another job full time, the videos are short and concise enough for you to complete 2-3 videos plus homework in a night. They are not BS. They are very to the point and are full of information. If you are unsure of something, they are short enough to rewatch and totally learn the basics. Her live evaluations of my homework were the most helpful for me. I personally need that feedback and it was totally worth the money. Many courses do not offer this and this was a key point for me. Since then I was able to open a NT brokerage account, that took me longer than normal since I currently live out of the country. But, on a side note, the Ninja Trader team was very helpful and readily available. I am very happy to say that I have been trading successfully since March. It's a learning curve everyday, but I know that she is always available for that feedback if I need it. Some key points: I document my trades everyday noting the trade that I am using. I note any bad or good decisions I made and why. I use strict trading rules that I follow such as stopping after 2 bad trades or after being ahead +$100. I did not trade on the sim very long as I was advised by numerous traders not to get in this habit. The psychological aspects are much different from trading in the SIM. However, you only learn this from experience. After I am ahead, I continue to do 2 or 3 trades in the SIM. I have set goals for weekly and monthly and sticking to them can be really difficult. I used Stickk.com to complete my day trading goals and I highly recommend them. It is non-profit and for donations only. It will seriously help you "stick" to your timeline.
