Open Positions Summary Micro ES/ VXX We continue to inch closer to our target of around $920 in profit.  We're ¾'s of the way there, so we will continue to hold.  No adjustments made. Micro Nasdaq We had a quick move down on the Nasdaq last week.  Below is the trade as a reminder: Buy 1 /MNQ 14100 Dec17 Put @ 535.75 Sell 1 /MNQ 14800 Dec17 Put @ 770.00 -------------------------------------------------------- Buy 1 14900 Dec17 Call @ 802.25 -------------------------------------------------------- Sell 1 /MNQ Dec17 Micro-Futures @ 14884.75 The move down had us in healthy profit relative quickly so we closed it. We were looking for a larger move down but the pop in volatility gave us all the motivation we needed to close. Total net on the trade was $226 per contract.  Excellent return for a week.  Remember don't get greedy. This Week's Trade This week we are targeting Cisco.  She is flirting with new all-time highs and has earnings coming up on 8/18/2021.  Seasonally, she tends to top off around July for the year so we're playing her bullish into earnings to creep back to her highs at around $58.  Take a look at the seasonal chart below: The red line at the bottom shows the seasonal bias and the blue line is the current stock movement.  Here's our play: Buy 1 CSCO Aug20  61 Put @6.83 Sell 3 CSCO Aug20  58 Put @4.03 Buy 2 CSCO Aug20  55  Put @1.90 We're in at a credit of 1.46.  The risk graph looks like this: We're risking $154 on the trade with breakeven at the $55.77 stock price.  We will most likely exit on a move higher prior to earnings.  If she doesn't move higher then we are prepared to risk the entire $154 to play an earnings pop.
