| | | | "Heisenberg says, 'Relax...' Orale. I'm relaxed." -Tuco Salamanca, Breaking Bad (2008) Like anyone that has money in the market, I can have a hard time following Heisenberg's advice...
For instance, I spotted a day trade setup on OEG yesterday.
Scaled in around $4.00 before scaling out later in the day, but I held some overnight solely based on the fact that the stock had just filled a gap that I'd been watching for over a month...
Maybe we'll have some continuation...
And this morning, my feed tells me the company had just filed for an offering at $3.65...
Still profitable, but staying relaxed is tough and can cause you to make some bad decisions...
I know no other trader other than Options Coach Chris Hood who has truly mastered this part of investor psychology.
You can find out how he handles this part of trading at the link below...

Options Coach Chris Hood and Brian Jones talk about the current market conditions and why going short comes with its own set of problems.
| | | | | | | Fibromyalgia Gains, Free Space Money, Need More Subs
- An App for Chronic Pain Exists - Day traders rejoiced on Tuesday as NeuroMetrix (NURO) presented an opportunity to make up for a rocky start to the week. The biotech company finished the regular session up 208% with an additional 36% in after-hours trading after receiving FDA Breakthrough Device Designation for its unique Quell device. The multi-patented device is used as a non-invasive method for treating Fibromyalgia and can be controlled via mobile app. Now your phone can treat medical conditions.
- Free Space Money - Amazon's (AMZN) Jeff Bezos successfully conquered another massive feat and made it to space on Blue Origin's New Shepard. Now, he's feeling awfully philanthropic. After the launch, Bezos made an appearance and extended a gift of $100 million each to CNN's Van Jones and chef and World Central Kitchen founder José Andrés. The money, of course, is not intended for them individually, but for charitable organizations of their choice. Chef Andrés stated that it "cannot feed the world on its own," but it was a start. Sorry, Jeff, some people just don't get it.
| | | | | - Will Gaming Save the Share Price? - The streaming world created by Netflix (NFLX) is getting smaller and investors are taking note. Shares of the company fell close to 2% immediately after reporting earnings for the second quarter. Despite beating eking out a win on added subscribers and beating revenue by a couple of million, Netflix missed on earnings and disappointed with its forecasted Q3 subscriptions, nearly a third less than expected. The company did, however, announce that it would be entering the gaming world and including the service at no additional cost. So, it's worthless.
- "Sold Out" - According to Bank of America (BAC), the biggest headwind for the EV industry will hit within the next five years. The issue? Batteries. The bank's research model recently updated its data which suggests that battery supply could effectively reach "sold out" conditions by as early as 2025 and only worsening after that. Analysts went on to state that this will likely require multiple capital expenditure cycles in the next couple of years. You know what that means... Offerings.

| | | | | | | HOT SPOTS: What's Going on in Geopolitics
- China Hacked Pipelines A Decade Ago - The Biden Administration charged that China compromised more than 12 American pipeline operators a decade ago. The report came as the White House issued new cybersecurity requirements for the entire industry. The report shows that foreign nations' hacking efforts are both more sophisticated and more longstanding than almost anyone had anticipated.
- Indian Pandemic Toll Wildly Undercounted - India has been savaged by the COVID-19 pandemic and was the first country to suffer from the "Delta" variant now spreading worldwide. But the death toll in the world's largest democracy may be far worse than what many expected. A report from researchers at the Center for Global Development charged that the death toll in India might be ten times greater than the official count, with excess deaths of between 3 and 4.7 million.
- French Leaders Phones Tapped In Spyware Scandal- Leaders around the world are outraged by reports that the Israel-based NSO Group used the "Pegasus" spyware to target journalists, activists and politicians. Among those spied on was reportedly French President Emmanuel Macron. French publication Le Monde was part of a global media group that was able to identify the more than 50,000 cellphone numbers targeted by the spying campaign.
| | | | | CUTTING EDGE: What's Happening In Tech
- Russia Shows Off High-Tech Fighter - The Russian military proudly showed off its new cutting edge warplane, with the project name "Checkmate," at the MAKS-2021 International Aviation and Space Salon outside Moscow. It is expected to compete with America's F-35 Lightning II fighter, a popular item in international arms purchases. Each fighter is expected to cost about $25-30 million.
- Masitinib Gets Second Life - Masitinib, a drug being developed for a wide variety of conditions including cancer, COVID-19, and neurodegenerative disorders, suffered a huge setback when a clinical trial was halted following reports of heart problems. However, trials are expected to resume in France later this year. Also, new data shows that it could potentially extend the lifespan of ALS patients by about two years if given early enough - significant, given that most diagnosed only live three to five years afterward. The findings are huge news for AB Science, the drug's developer.
- Hubble Telescope Working Again - The orbit is filling up with "space junk," or satellites that have stopped working and are just floating there, getting in everyone's way. However, the Hubble Telescope, first launched in 1990, is still going strong. After going dark for five weeks, repairs have restored it to full functionality. It can now continue to provide valuable data and breathtaking images of the farthest reaches of our galaxy.
| | | | | | | | | | You just can't keep it down | | | | | FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION "Humans are emotional creatures. Perhaps nothing shows this more clearly than how we trade and whether or not we follow our rules. I highly suggest adding your feelings, especially those that led you to deviate from your plan to your trading journal. Did you get out of a trade too early and break your rules? Ask yourself why."
You are One with the market... seriously, trading can be stressful. But most mistakes are made when you let emotions (or pride) get in the way of your judgment - and your rules. Your Options Coach Chris Hood has useful advice about how to keep your head when traders around you are losing theirs.

Click Here and Sign Up to Before the Bell for FREE | | | Amesite Inc. (AMST) is a stock that I like for a day trade whenever it decides to pop, but it's also a solid candidate for accumulating and scaling into - just know your risk tolerance.
The wild, beautiful lines that look like something out of Studio 54 during the disco era are simply incrementally-spaced EMAs (exponential moving averages) forming a "ribbon" and are good for signaling trend changes. And if you like catching bottoms, the stretched ribbon can indicate an entry...
Now, for this chart, I'm looking at three indicators: OBV (On-Balance Volume), AccDist (Accumulation/Distribution), and Chaikin Money Flow.
The first signals a bullish divergence in that the price has been dropping while the indicator is ticking upward (white, dotted trendlines & arrows). However, the AccDist says the opposite...
So, using somewhat of a combination of the two in conjunction with knowledge of the stock's historic price action and the pattern on the chart (double-bottom), the Chaikin Money Flow appears to confirm the OBV when looking at the gray box.
As much as we all wish these indicators told us ahead of time what's going to happen, they can only provide clues which is why looking at the entire picture is what's important.
The resistance right now is around ~$2.35 (blue horizontal line), but a move above this could squeeze to the upside closer to ~$3.00 or more, depending on the catalyst or who pumps it...
An entry under $2.25 and some patience is likely all that's required.
