The rare-earth elements (REEs) sector could become one of the most sought after, highly competitive marketplaces in the world.

Why are REEs so important? They provide the building blocks to produce the best magnets in the world.

When you think of magnets, you likely think of the one on your fridge that holds up your kids' or grandkids' pictures and artwork.

Those aren't the magnets I'm talking about. The most important type of magnet is called a "permanent magnet."

There are permanent magnets in your cell phone and in MRI machines. There are 920 pounds of permanent magnets in an F-35 jet.
